I do vocal warm-ups almost every day and often rehearse music for upcoming concerts. Good for the soul and for good breathing.

I walk. Everyday I make it a point to touch the earth, gaze at the sky or listen to the water of the Great South Bay near my home. Nature is my church and where I find my solace and my joy. From the smallest of creatures to vastness of the sky, being in nature has alway been my peace.

I love the phrase "touch the earth." It feels so intimate.

Thanks, Patti. When I first read this, I thought you were saying that you talk to your garden indoors and out...And, my guess is, that you do!

Spend time in nature, walking or sitting and meditating.

I can see where spending time in nature would inform your painting.

write in my journal - and I love that you said "almost" every day, because that's the truth of it. Time seems to me to be extremely variable, and any plan for "every day" is subject to subtle shifts - more like the moon than the sun.

Love the reference to heavenly bodies. This activity has to arise organically. If you make a fetish out of it, it doesn't do the trick.

I Wish! I dream of walking on the sand at the beach, rain or shine. The perspective I get when on the coast is humbling and calming.

Not enough. But I'm better than I used to be. Generally? Write, soak in any green I can, cuddle with my husband and dog.

Prayers to the Seven Flames by Aurelia Louise Jones - its a channeled book by the Masters of the Seven Rays - published by Mt. Shasta Light Publishing.

Its a book of spiritually encoded prayers, affirmations and decrees that say will gradually raise our vibration and accelerate transformation. It says "It is among the most effective ways to gather the energies of Love and Light within your chakras and every aspect of your being"

My most honest response to my own question is that I read, actual books. Primarily literary fiction. My universe is endlessly expanded by other people's ability to communicate with me in the form of stories.

I agree! When I"m reading good fiction I'm at peace and connected.

It's true. I was resistant because her writing isn't so much about language which is my addiction. It's more about the interior lives of the characters and unexpected plot twists. I'm learning so much.
