Progress, patience, acceptance. Always an inhale, an exhale, and the moment of suspension between the two. Thank you for “dead soon”. I will remember that. ✨
Thanks, Barbara. I am seeing that "soon" has really gotten to me. I like those long, drawn out oooos and the indeterminacy that I write about. Very pleased that you find my writing softening. I can't think of a better word to lean into.
This is EXACTLY what I needed to read today. Like you I am burdened with the expectation that my next step forward will be revealed, that if I’m patient and keep practicing, I won’t be slopping in the muddy waters forever. But maybe that’s just my culturally inherited idea of progress. Maybe what I see is what I get (am)—right here, right now. Thanks for these beautiful wise words.

And if not now, when? 🤣
Susie..reading your "easy" words..I must smile because balance has always been my mantra..but then the "mean girls" show up..progress within balance
becomes murky..and "soon" is added to my balance...you enrich and soften ..
Love barbara

Yes...I found that standing up to progress was the great gift of writing this piece. Wouldn't it be grand to let go of that tyranny?
Love the way you write. So spot on all the time, Susie. You nailed it again.
Always so pleased to hear from you, Patty. Your travels in the land outside of ordinary knowing and expectations is a great teaching for me.
Thank you, Susie.
What gorgeous, funny, profound, pithy invitations, Susie. I LOVE this one.
Thank you for giving me permission to be a jokester in the universe of big ideas. I really appreciate that.
Wise. Profound. Perfect. I needed this today. Thank you.
So glad to be walking with you, Alice.
