"Atrocity is another story. In the face of floods and fires, torture and hostage-taking, the slaughter of trapped civilian populations, the disappearance of free speech, the mouse, poor thing, has nowhere to go. He can’t get enough of me….and you, I’m guessing." You guessed right. Thanks to sourdough bread, and the love that went into the baking, the day we all hope for may yet come to pass.

Reaching out to you in that hope.

I appreciate your posts. Everything does seem hopeless most of the time. Humans “fiddle” while the climate collapses.

Staying in touch with catastrophe while rising above it to breathe is the central concern of our time.

I am especially grateful for today's message.....I had begun to feel the mouse chewing at my heart

when my mind thinks of the world during these winter storms...

Love that mouse! Just wanting a simple meal, and all he needs is some kindness to dull his appetite and soothe his sweet heart! Thanks so much Susie, as always, charming and perceptive!

I love that you have empathy for my mouse. I am starting to think of him as mine.

I am compelled to give you my thoughts on this piece. Possibly something is bothering you. You are “attached at the hip”with it so to speak. It gnaws on you. Obviously, like many of us, you are distraught over what is happening in the world. You are a very concerned citizen of the world as you are bombarded with the constant bad news every day. I feel that your higher self is making you aware of the deep concern over worldly matters that is eating away at you. Some wise folks say that the more you give attention to something (regardless if you consider it negative or positive), the stronger it becomes. This can also affect the larger field of consciousness.

Your abecedarian is quite interesting. Can’t wait to see the whole thing.

I really appreciate your response. I was leaning in the same direction by saying that you can't yank the mouse off your body. You have to soften its hold by withdrawing some of the energy attached to it. I especially resonate with your remark that paying too much attention can "affect the larger field of consciousness." I tend to forget that. Thank you.

Ah, dreams. My most frustrating times are the times I have a dream, and in the dream, make a point of wanting to try to remember it….but then I wake up and all I can recall is how much I wanted o remember it.

So much that is happening in our lives ( near and far) is worth forgetting, never mind being pursued by it into sleep. Sleep well.

This seems to be related to dreaming that you're asleep. You take it a step further and dream that you're trying to remember the dream. I find this interface between waking and sleeping life fascinating.

So grateful for your missives and this one in particular. . . the sorting of dreams. I had many dreams last night (must be mid-winter all the accompanying darknesses right now) and in each of these dreams (this is beginning to sound like the Jewish curse of many mansions and cholera, but it's not) none of which I remember, I am trying to find out how to spell 'acceptance' or it is 'Acceptance'. many hugs, Linda

Linda...That's a knockout! I especially love language dreams. I've been known to dream using real words in languages I don't know. You landed on the message to end all messages. Thank you and thank you for reading my work.
